The concept of Hindu law is deeply rooted in Hindu philosophy and Hindu religion. According to Hindu law the ultimate aim of life is to achieve salvation or moksha. Hindu law has two main schools the Mitakshara and Dayabhaga. In the modern Hindu law, schools have relevance only in respect of the uncodified Hindu law. The codification of Hindu law is important process in modern law as it is convenient and easy for the judiciary and also to the common man to understand the application of law.
